BroadwayCon is accessible to all attendees! When registering, you will be asked if you have a disability that will impact your time at the event, and if so, you will be prompted to tell us about what we can do to make your experience better. We strongly encourage you to use this form so that we can customize your experience. This includes, but is not limited to, attendees who have hearing, vision, or mobility impairments or who need a quiet place to rest during the convention.
If you need individualized assistance, you may request a medical aide badge by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Medical aide badges offer attendance to conference programming while in the service of an individual with a disability.
American Sign Language interpreters will be available on-site for assistance. If you have requests for programming to be interpreted, please email email@example.com as soon as possible so that we can arrange to have our interpreters available at that panel. The Customer Service Desk on-site will be able to provide a list of interpreted panels. We will be able to accommodate any requests placed up until 3 weeks prior to the event. Requests placed after that time will be accommodated if possible.
If you sometimes need a private space to rest, away from the hustle and bustle of the convention, be it for emotional respite or a private place to breastfeed, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist you.
Your service animals and certified support animals are welcome at BroadwayCon while assisting you. Service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless these devices interfere with the service animal’s work, or the individual’s disability prevents using these devices. If that is the case, we require you maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other controls. Poisonous, venomous, and predatory creatures, including snakes, are not allowed, and neither are animals too big to be held, such as standard-sized horses.
There will be wheelchair-accessible seating available in all programming. Please feel free to ask a volunteer to help you find this section of seats when entering the space. If you have other mobility needs, please let us know in the space provided when you purchase your ticket or as soon as possible. You will be able to pick up a sticker from the Customer Service Desk which will allow you a little extra time to find your seat in certain programs.
BroadwayCon programming will take place in the New Yorker Hotel and the Manhattan Center. These spaces are located next door to each other, but you will need to go outside to travel the short distance between them. The event spaces in the Manhattan Center are located on upper floors and may be accessed via stairs or elevator. The elevators will be staffed throughout the event to maximize efficiency, but please allow extra time for travel between programs.
If you need immediate medical assistance during the event, please ask any volunteer or staff member. We will direct you to the first aid station and/or escort you there.
